Full Moon Circle
Friday, August 16, 2019
6:30pm to 8:30pm
Crab Cove Beach in Alameda
Join Anne Gregory & Nicolette Tura of The Luminous Awakening for this special gathering under the open sky. August’s post Eclipse season is extremely powerful for illuminating our relationships and restoring balance and harmony! The healing nature of community will amplify this magic.
Let’s come together to celebrate the Sturgeon Full Moon, named for the when this large fish of the Great Lakes and other major bodies of water like Lake Champlain are most readily caught. A few Native American tribes knew it as the Full Red Moon — because when the moon rises it looks reddish through sultry haze. The abundant energy of this phase makes it a great time for both releasing and manifesting.
We will open with a grounding meditation followed by a talk about the significance of the full moon. She will be in Aquarius in the 7th house which rules relationships, balance & harmony AND the opposing Sun is exactly conjoined with Venus who rules the 7th house with Mars not too far from his lover. Fireworks in the sky!
Flow through moon salutations, forgive, release and make space for what you would like to see emerge in your life. From there, you will be guided through Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep, a transformative practice designed to heal and restore you on all levels. We will conclude chanting together as the sun sets and the moon rises.
Location: Meet at Crab Cove Visitor Center, 1231 McKay Ave, Alameda. Practice will be on lawn or beach depending on tide.
